The central city of Da Nang completed 188 of 301 centrally assigned tasks under Resolution 57 and processed 973,435 administrative dossiers in the first nine months of 2026.
Da Nang received 96.7 percent of those administrative dossiers through online channels in the first nine months, local officials reported. The city now provides 2,303 of 2,312 public administrative procedures through full or partial online systems, reaching 99.61 percent coverage.
Meanwhile, 1,646 public administrative services are provided fully online and 657 are provided partially online, according to official Da Nang municipal government data released this year.
Da Nang ranked eighth among 34 provinces and cities in the government's national public service index under Decision 766 for 2026. The city also scored 91.21 points on the provincial administrative reform index, placing 12th among 34 localities nationwide for 2026.
Da Nang became the first locality nationwide to launch an online survey measuring public satisfaction with public service delivery through a dedicated official government survey website.
Mr. Jacob Coxon, a senior researcher at Anthropic, resigned and warned about artificial intelligence extinction risks on social media platform X. He estimated a more than ten percent chance that AI could destroy humanity within the next decade without clear control plans.

Vietnam's Politburo Resolution 57, issued on December 22, 2024, aims for the country to master strategic technologies like AI by 2030. It seeks a top-three ASEAN ranking in AI research and development while ensuring national sovereignty, cybersecurity and personal data protection.
Notice 24 from General Secretary and State President To Lam said Vietnam must not trade security for development yet must not slow innovation over risk fears.
The notice urged Vietnam to pair AI research, mastery and application with governance, including safety testing, independent evaluation of high-risk systems, data protection, incident response and international rules.
