MetroList, Northern Nevada Regional MLS and Oregon Data Share have launched Orion Real Estate Data Exchange, a multistate platform for real estate professionals across three states.
The three organizations announced their initiative on Wednesday, the 23rd of September, 2026, in a joint statement issued from Sacramento, California. The platform provides real estate professionals direct access to real-time listing information across large portions of California, Nevada and Oregon.
The initiative, first announced in early 2025, is designed as a modern, secure and scalable data layer that supplements each participating MLS rather than replacing local systems.
The partners describe Orion as a data-first network focused on unified multistate access, greater market visibility and enhanced referral opportunities between real estate professionals in different regions.
In its initial phase, Orion provides members with access to listings across all participating markets within a professional user environment. The platform is powered by Rapattoni and serves as a shared data repository that can be tapped by each MLS.
According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau data, approximately 129,000 people moved among California, Nevada and Oregon in 2024 in total. Nearly 85,000 people left California for Nevada or Oregon, with much of that movement along the I-80 and I-5 corridors.
The Orion partners identified an opportunity to connect listing information from their respective service areas to support professionals and clients moving between these states across regions.
Tina Grimes, CEO of Southern Oregon MLS, and Casie Conlon, CEO of Cascades East MLS, are both founders of ODS. They said the name Orion reflects a mutual vision for a borderless, data-informed real estate ecosystem and empowers their members.
With consumer migration between Oregon, Nevada, and California, our objective is to directly empower our members with tools and access. These tools and access ultimately help them best serve clients wherever they are located across the three states and beyond.
The initiative aims to provide greater market visibility and enhanced referral opportunities for licensed real estate professionals across the three states and beyond to match with local professionals.
In its initial phase, Orion provides members of each independent MLS access to listing information across all participating markets in a professional user environment powered by Rapattoni.
The platform functions as a scalable repository for shared data that can be tapped by each MLS organization and supports expanded access and enhanced analytics in the future.
The next phase will bring that data directly into each organization's primary MLS system in a structured and seamless way. This will create a more seamless experience for members and greatly improve overall client satisfaction for the buyers and sellers.
Dave Howe, president and CEO of MetroList, said Orion breaks down MLS data barriers and promotes collaboration among organizations in different states, creating new opportunities for professionals.
NNRMLS CEO George Pickard said the organizations are starting with practical access today while building infrastructure for deeper data sharing tomorrow. He added that the next phase will bring data directly into each primary MLS system in a structured and seamless way.
